I always wanted to visit the former Van Nelle factory in Rotterdam desperately! The architecture of this former tobacco, tea and coffee factory is intriguing. With lots of steel and glass this place is one transparant spectacle. The long transport bridges almost make the place look like an airport. The Van Nelle factory was declared an UNESCO World Heritage site in 2014 and is the most prominent industrial monument in The Netherlands. The factory was built between 1927 and 1930 and the abundance of glass was purposely designed in order to offer people maximum of light.
