Ten days in India is very short time to visit such a big and incredible country. Our plan was to give our children a first impression of India after we visited the country back in 1998. I believe we need our upcoming weeks in Thailand to reflect on these days in Delhi and Jaipur.
From day one India grabs you: the colors, the people, the dirt, the religions, the chaos, the friendliness. When you travel the streets in the back of a Tuk-Tuk all is combined: in the traffic chaos you here the far-away sound of a temple bell, in the smelling dirt kids separate and collect plastic, the motorcyclist driving behind you lifts up the cover of his helmet to gently greet you, a group of colorfully dressed women are laughing while walking the streets.
India is everywhere around, constantly looking at you. I will never forget her eyes….
